Capturing movement through light and time

This commercial complex is a bustling hub in the old industrial area of Ahmedabad, with three floors and two basements. Facing a busy traffic island, the non-stop movement of vehicles and people served as inspiration for Atelier Lights (Formerly Atelier dada PVT. LTD.) to create a dynamic installation that expresses movement through light. Using a tight budget, the corridors leading to the shop entries were enhanced with seamless lights integrated into the ceiling and light-art installations using Fluorescence low tech. The team aimed to give some rhythm and majesty to the long L-shaped building, with decorative light fittings inspired by torches guiding visitors towards the housing complex by the same owner and architect. The result is a visually stunning display that brings new life to the commercial complex, making it a beacon of light in the heart of the city.
