Sparkling Jewel of the Night: Transforming Mundane into Magic
The corporate tower lighting project presented a unique challenge: how to light discreetly yet elegantly, in a way that is both meaningful and playful. After presenting three options to the client, they ultimately chose a design based on an abstraction of a solitaire diamond, in reference to the tower’s name.
The design involved a clever play of light beams that represent the sparkle of a diamond. These beams align with the triangular-shaped service shafts, which themselves are grazed with linear uplights, creating a dynamic and engaging visual experience for passers-by.
During the day, the tower appears relatively unremarkable, with small cubes seemingly randomly placed on the masonry. However, as night falls, the magic happens, and the tower is transformed into a sparkling jewel that surprises and delights all who see it.
